EEA PR- Dependent Period, please advise

Post by seekinghelp11 » Thu Mar 30, 2017 10:47 pm

Hi all,

I am helping a friend with his EEA PR application and would like some advice. My understanding is that any five year period can be selected, as he is currently a student with no CSI I want to use a previous period when he would have been a dependent under 21 and send his form in with his mothers who would be the qualifying person.
My issue is as follows, as he would have been 13-18 in the qualifying period there is little proof of residency documentation for him personally. My question is do minors/ those that would have been minors in the qualifying period have to supply proof of residency or is it just the sponsor and secondarily if they do does any one have any suggestions as to supporting documentation that could be used? He obviously didn't hold a bank account at the time, my understanding is that children's names don't go on council tax bills, would certificates gained at that time be appropriate e.g. GCSE certification? I've already obtained written confirmation of his attendance at Secondary school during this period that also confirms the address the school held for him but i know documentation has to come from a variety of sources and this in itself wouldn't be enough.

Any advice is deeply appreciated, thank you

Best to provide as much evidence as possible. He may be okay if his school holidays do not exceed six months per year.
