I am queried why I spend for my child ?

Post by e1e » Tue Apr 04, 2017 12:40 pm

Hello guys,
I am divorced and have a child born here and 9 this year.

I applied for my residency based on the FLR FP 10 year residency route.

I havent worked in years and showed proof of financial dependency on family. My 3 months bank statement coioncided with my last daughter's birthday, where I bought her a playstation on sale for £200.

I also showed evidence of shopping on the UK high street, (which I do once a year for a total of £200 and a clarks shoe for £40)

The HO queried these and said, why ? They also said if i saved £68 a month, I would have their fee in one year.

THIS SACRIFICE IS BORNE OUT OF
1. I dont have heating or gas at home since 2013
2. I am behind in house rent ( As my landlord is a friend and clearly supports me spending for my daughter)
And they sent a supporting letter to the HO to attest to this fact
3. I am far behind in other bills as my local MP asked them to be put on hold
4. My bank account is permanently in the red and get charged by my bank for using my overdraft

The requirement of the HO website says, (A person who is accommodated, but cannot meet my essential living standards) https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... waiver.pdf

clearly i struggle to meet my daughter's needs, but sacrifice all I have to make her happy
Pls advise
Ed
