No brp sent to us, should we have received one?

Post by Md-1 » Tue Apr 04, 2017 11:04 pm

Hi
My wife had her visa accepted but never received a brp.
Her visa was granted just under 2 years
Should we have received one and will it effect the visa extension?
Thank you

If your wife has applied for a spouse settlement visa from outside of the UK she will be issued with a visa for 30 days. She will need to enter the UK within the 30 days and collect her BRP from the designated Post Office within 10 days of her arrival.

However, your post isn't clear as you mention a visa of 'less than 2 years'. :?:

Hi thank you for your reply
She applied from singapore in June 2015

She has the passport visa vignette of 2 years 9 months but never received any letters with a brp or stating one was needed.

Should this have been received?

No. This was prior to BRPs being issued for spouse entry visas. She will provide biometrics when she applies for her FLR(M) extension.
