FPS URGENT QUERY

DEAR MEMBERS,

I HAVE AN URGENT QUERY REGARDING THE FPS. NEXT MONTH I AM GOING TO APPLY MY EXTENSION. I HAD SAVED ALL MY FPS AND OTHER IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS IN MY COMPUTER HARD DISK BUT UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE LOST ALL DATA DUE TO HAED DRIVE FALIURE.

I SPOKE TO THE ACCOUNT HE SAID THAT HE CAN RE GENERATE ALL FPS FOR ME BUT THE ISSUE IS THE PRINT DATE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE WILL DISPLY THE CURRENT DATE. ALL MY FPS SUBMITTED TO HMRC THEIR OWN TIME.

I WOULD LIKE TO ASK ALL SENIOR MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM , IS THERE ANY CONCERN BY CASE WORKER IF I RE-PRODUCE FPS AGAIN OR CASE WORKER WILL RAISE ANY QUESTION ABOUT THE DATE WHICH WILL SHOW AT BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

FOR EXAMPLE I NEED JAN 2107 FPS SO THE DATE WILL SHOW 05 APRIL 2017.

CAN U PLEASE CALRIFY ME.

What software is your accountant using?

Call HMRC to see if they can send out copies of FPS reports to you. Usually they don't do this, but I remember reading on the HMRC website that in exceptional circumstances, if you lose all your payroll data, they can help you restore it by sending out the reports.

My accountant has all my record and he can produce copy for me my question is the date bottom of the page showing current date.

It's not possible to determine whether the caseworker will raise concerns about this issue or not.
Not all software programmes show the current date, so you could try generating the relevant FPS reports using Moneysoft perhaps? Or request the HMRC to send the reports, if they are willing.

A few members got their reports prepared manually by their accountants as they only had XML files of the FPS data. You could check with your accountant if this is an option.

That is not an issue at all. FPS reports can be produced anytime. Do not worry

Don't think it would be an issue as zimba said but if you are still worried, don't select the "shrink oversized pages" option when you are printing the documents and it would only print some part of the date. But don't think that's really needed.

All softwares have SETTINGS, from setting you can tick a box to cancel the printing date, so it is not mandatory to show printing date, if you deactivate the date, you wont see it in the footer.
Ask your accountant if you wish to do so, and it is not an issue if you print it a day before your application, no one will ask you why did you print it on that day, imagine your case, you lost your computer, you can ask your accountant to print a new printout.

Some of Software have option where you untick the date option , so its hide the date .

If its still showing , it should not be any problem anyway.

Another way,
Change the date of your computer, the software takes the time & date from the computer.
