Right of Abode for Baby in UK

Post by alxale » Wed Apr 05, 2017 10:32 am

Does anybody have any experience applying for Right of Abode (ROA) for their newborn baby in the U.K

We are planning to apply for our baby's ROA. Straight forward case of baby born in the UK to both settled parents with ILR.

In the guide , it is stated that the evidence needed is Child full birth cert + evidence of ILR

Is the BRP card itself sufficient proof of ILR or do we need to send the passports as well ?

Applicant was born in the UK or the
Falkland Islands on or after 1 January
1983, or in another qualifying British
overseas territory on or after 21 May 2002
• Applicant’s full birth certificate
showing parents’ details;
• Evidence of either parent’s British
citizenship or settled status at time of
applicant’s birth, e.g. a passport describing
the relevant parent as a British citizen or
indicating that they then had indefinite
leave to remain; and

Thanks in advance!
Alex
