She (along with rest of kids excluding me as I was a student in this country from before they arrived) was deported in 2005 as her asylum application was refused. She applied for visit visa in February and got refused yesterday. Following reasons have been given:
1) Financial support to the family (which includes mother) from a) me in UK, b) Father and my brother in Middle East is remitted to a son who lives with mother and rest of the family in Pakistan on a monthly basis.
This was explained in the cover letter that its easier and safer for the son to go to banks/ATM and withdraw and also the fact the she is illiterate.
2) No other family members in Pakistan (not demonstrated)
She submitted passport copies of all the children currently living with her. What else she could have done on this point?
3) Father and son from Middle East
What is their job, their income and who else relies on their income. Again, on top of payslips and employer letter, what else can be provided please?
4) She showed her bank account details why a statement which isn't active but had been deposited in November 2016 with £20K sum for a piece of land she owned. ECO says, that the affidavit can be bought for easily in Pakistan and this doesn't carry weight to justify link to home country.
This is clearly misinterpretation or misunderstanding from ECO, the letters submitted weren't affidavit, they were property ownership documents that confirmed that she owned that land upto the point of sale. Again, whatelse can she do to support this.
5) ECO also notes, coupled with all the above points, you made an asylum application which was refused, so this leads me to doubt your intentions for short visit to the UK.
To me, points 1 to 4 are not genuine and are excuses more than anything, the underlying thing here is that her immigration history will be questioned.
I am hoping that someone can share some advice that I can use and I am planning to resubmit the application soon as soon as I have evidence to support close-out of the above points (off course with help from this forum)
