Tier-2 General total stay & ILR eligibility

Post by srav19 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 7:29 pm

Hi

I'm Srav , I'm was in uk on Tier2 General for 2 years from April 2014 to March 2016, and I returned India on an emergency travel and I didn't apply for extensions from India due to the limitations with cooling off period. Now I have got other sponsor who is willing to sponsor me tier -2 General visa for next 5 years.

But I have a doubt whether I can able to apply me tier -2 General visa for next 5 years or not? Bcz I read it somewhere that total stay shouldn't be more than 6 years for tier-2 General. If it is the case, I have already spent 2 years on tier -2 General previously and will I be eligible to get visa for next 4 years and am I not eligible to apply for ILR next since my continuous stay wouldn't be 5 years from now.

Please advise me. Thanks

Your previous leave to remain expired and doesn't count anymore.
You will be starting a new 6 year period on Tier 2 Gen
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
