T2 General - Multiple Entry Visa

Post by anub2016 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 11:09 pm

Hi,

Could the Moderators/Experts please advise if a Tier 2 General Visa is a Multiple Entry Visa?

I'm concerned as my BRP Card mentions the 'Type Of Permit' as 'TIER 2 (GENERAL) - LEAVE TO ENTER'. Do I have to get some sort of permission/letter from the Home Office if I travel abroad?

Many Thanks.

No. You don't need additional permissions.

Multi entry Tier 2 is for those who need to travel out of UK on regular basis for work purposes. If you need to go out of UK for personal reasons/holidays, then T2 general visa is fine.

Read guidance for full details.

P.s: I'm not an expert/mod.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

If it was valid for over six months, then it's non-lapsing leave. This permits multiple entries within the validity period when your circumstances have not changed.
