Passport renewed

My old passport has expired and i renewed it on my last visit to India.

I don't have any issue on immigration in Airport, on my return.

My new passport has old passport number.

I let my Employer know about this.

Do i need to let UKBA know about this? https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances ... have-a-brp does not specify anything related to renew of passport.

I am planning to applay for new visa next year. Can i let UKBA know about this change then? or do i need to do it now?

You don't need a new BRP if you get your passport renewed. However, you need to carry both your new and the old passport each time whenever you travel (along with BRP of course). You can report the new passport when you apply for extension next time.
