Tier 2 general - wrong start date & end date on cos

Hi,

I received COS from a business who is willing to sponsor me. I just noticed that the start date mentioned was on 1st april, 2017. I am sure there can add a sponsor note mentioning the new start date. will this be acceptable? or is it also better to provide a letter why the date has been changed?
