Wait times from inside the UK

I have had to reapply on my EEA family permit which initially was rejected. Used a lawyer for the resubmit, but they have been unable to get a clear answer from the Home Office. My application was submitted on 13/2/17 and biometrics letter came on 10/3/17. I to this date, now 8 weeks after submission, have not received my Certificate of Application.

So my question is this: Is there any way to get the wait times from inside the UK?

It wouldn't be so bad, except employers dont like being kept in limbo. Initially I was told 6 weeks.
