Switching from Tier 2 general to Tier 1 entrepreneur

Post by chironiro » Thu Apr 13, 2017 4:42 pm

Hi there,
Can someone please clarify what the requirements are in terms of the 50k, do you just need to show you have it in your account, or you have to get it from a venture capital firm etc? and do you need to meet all these requirements even if you are switching from tier 2 to tier 1?

With the Indefinite leave to remain, do i have to be on one visa for 5 consecutive years to apply? i know you have to show your salary is 35,000 or above but what if i am self employed and an entrepreneur?

If you are switching from Tier 2, 50K investment is only accepted if the money comes from UKTI or the Government, seed funds or venture capital otherwise you need at least 200K to apply.
Under Tier 1E there are no salary requirements.

All these are answered in Tier 1E guide: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... trepreneur

You will need to be 5 years on T1E (or 3 years accelerated) you cannot share time with T2 (Unless it brings you to LR)
