Tier 2 dependents with main applicant on ILR

Post by TF1 » Sat Apr 15, 2017 9:42 pm

Hi All,

I am currently working for a UK company on a Tier 2 (General) visa. My family is on the Tier 2 dependent visa.

I was wondering if it is allowed that I switch to indefinite leave to remain (after 5 years on Tier 2 with one year remaining on the visa) whilst my family remains on the Tier 2 dependent visa (for another year). Or would they also be legally required to apply for the ILR as soon as the main applicant switches?

Many thanks for your help!

They can continue to extend their PBS dependent visas.
