Hello everyone,

I had an unfortunate blip in my first british passport application process and i was wondering if anyone had insight into what my (probably limited) options may be.

I applied for my first British passport a few weeks ago. I had legally changed my name by deed poll prior to this. My new name appears on my deed poll document, my provisional driving licence, bills, etc. However for some reason my naturalisation document did not use my changed first name. I received a letter from the Home Office saying that my application was fine but until my new name appeared on my Bangladeshi passport they could not apply it to my British passport. Apparently (from some googling that i did) i would have to travel back to Bangladesh to get this done. i don't know if this is true or not and my research has led me to mixed results. My question is, is there any way to change my first name on my Bangladeshi passport from the UK? Going back to Bangladesh wouldn't be possible right now.

Thank you in advance for any help or tips you may have for my predicament, and wishing you the best on your journey :)

Leila
