Hi
I’m Italian and since December 2015 I’m in a relation with an Ecuadorian girl, we met in Manchester,
she used to live and work in Liverpool thanks to an Intercultural Exchange. From March 2016 to the
beginning of June 2016 we’ve lived together in a shared house in Manchester, then we went in Italy
where she could met my family and visit Rome and Venice with me. At the end of June we came
back to U.K. but she was forced due to the expired U.K. VISA to move back in South America where
she has worked until December 2016 because in the same month I went there to meet her family
and to propose her to marry me, she has accepted ( fortunately ) . At the end of December I went
back to U.K and I moved from Manchester to Liverpool. The 27th of May we’re going to get married
in Italy.
Once married we want to apply from Italy for the EEA family permit in order to reunite our family.
Thank to this forum and others I’ve discovered that even without the help of a lawyer isn’t such a
difficult task to apply for this permit, so I’m here to share my experience with you and to ask your
help!
We know that we need several documents and evidences regarding our wedding and our status,
here a recap:
- Our passports
- Our wedding certificate and Photos
- My proofs of living in U.K. : House Bills, Tenancy contract, Job Contract, Employer Letter
- Evidences of our relation: We have Facebook History, photos of our trips in U.K. , Italy ,
Ecuador, and our Whatsapp/Skype conversations ( I’ve read that many of you have used
these documents, how you did it? Did you have printed all the conversations? Please let us
know ) I can also ask to two of our ex housemates in Manchester to sign a testimony about
our living together
- Because we don’t want to settle in U.K. but only study a Master Degree and then move we
both have applied to study in U.K. ( Universities of Liverpool and Manchester have both
accepted us )
Do you have any suggestions for us? Please help us to reunite our family.
Thanks
