Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) granted on my old passport

Post by NigelPallatt » Wed Apr 19, 2017 1:19 pm

I was granted Indefinite leave to remain in the UK in 1995 through a stamp stamped in my Australian passport, That passport has expired and was renewed and 10 years has passed and I am about to renew my passport again. Does the fact that my stamp (ILR) is not on a current passport matter. From what I can tell it does not but would very much like confirmation that I do not need to get a Biometric residence permit.

You don't need to when traveling. However, you may want to for other purposes.

What other reasons would there be? How about getting a job?
