Not the right section on this forum, but start here for furtehr info:sandragedny wrote:Hi, I am German and have lived in the UK for 18 years, I haven't got an address in Germany any more.
My 2 Boys were born in Dec. 99 and in June 05, they have the same British Dad. The older son was born before we got married. Can they get German passports and what do I need to do if they can to get them? I have now separated from their Dad but we are not yet divorced.
Obie, unless I've missed something it appears that the OP is asking about the right to apply for a German passport, not a British one.Obie wrote:Yes both children are British Citizen. Need to apply for their passport and show the marriage certificate and evidence of their father's passport.
If your were exercising treaty rights at the time the Older one was born, then a marriage certificate will not be necessary.
