Reg: Immigration Skill Charge

Post by crish83 » Thu Apr 20, 2017 5:12 pm

Hi

I came through immigration skill charge visa rule change below link:

"As previously advised, the Immigration Skills Charge will be levied on Tier 2 employers at a rate of £1,000 per Certificate of Sponsorship per year from April 2017. Smaller businesses and charities will be charged a lower amount of £364. There will be an exemption for PhD occupations, Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Graduate Trainees and Tier 4 students switching to Tier 2."

Please can anyone advise when the employer has to pay for immigration skill charge. I have to apply for Tier 2 Extension. Can anyone advise is it required to pay during COS allocation during extension?

Appreciate quick response.

Thanking you in advance

Regards
Crish

It's only for new visas applied after April 6th.

Employer has to pay for the charge

No ISC for Tier 2 visa extension. I have received tier 2 visa extension after 6 April, my CoS was marked as ISC exempt.

The ISC does not apply to CoS assigned to individuals before 6 April 2017 or to existing Tier 2 workers already in the UK before 6 April 2017 who extend their stay or change job or employer.
