Child Benefit Help

Post by Chelsuz85 » Thu Apr 20, 2017 7:04 pm

I had a residence card under EEA as the spouse of an EEA person. This expired on 3rd of March 2016, I had prior to then applied for a PR and was rejected due to insufficient evidence, I have now made a new application with further evidence and awaiting outcome.

CB stopped making payment in September 2016 as they said I need to get new documents from HO before they can check that I was qualified or legally living in the United Kingdom in such aspect.
Today, I have received a letter from Child Benefit saying I have to repay from March 2016 till the last date which was August as they overpaid me. However, I am qualified as I have acquired PR even though I am now divorced but I acquired the PR prior to divorce. I have 4 girls in Education since 2010 we moved to the UK, all my kids are german with residence document from the HO. I am only waiting to hear from the HO with my PR.
Child Benefit office has said if I believe they made a mistake, I should respond to them.

Can someone help me out please on how to go about this? Thanks
