uk citizen want to act as sponsor for parents visit to franc

Hi,

I am really confused with regards to financial side of things for my parents(Indian citizens). As I am planning on applying for their visit visa to France. They have already secured a visit visa to UK for 6 months. So my challenge is that my dad is retired and they have some finances in the personal bank account.

Me being a UK citizen wanted to show as a sponsor for their Europe trip? Is it acceptable? I am anyways booking travel and accomodation for the visa purpose. So my question is, me showing my british passport copy and my UK bank statement will make the case stronger. please advise?
