Travel to Europe with BRP Issued from Germany

Hello,

I am from India
I have been in Germany for 1.6 years and have a Biometric residence permit which is valid till Sept 2017.
I am currently living in UK.
I have been out from Germany since March 2016, Will my BRP be still valid?
Can I now travel from UK to Europe with my BRP ?

You are going to have to be a lot more specific.

On what basis were you issued a biometric residence card? Was it as a spouse of a British citizen, was it as a Blue Card holder, etc?

If you are the spouse of an EEA citizen, what nationality/ies is your spouse and where are they currently resident?

I am a native of india & hold an indian passport. I have been to Germany in 2014 on work permit deputation and was issued a resident permit in Germany which would be valid till Sept 2017(As I hold a three year visa)

I have travelled back to india in April 2016 and been deputated deputed to UK(Currently working in UK) and I now hold a 1 year visa to stay in UK.

Now, I have a residence permit which as per date mentioned will be valid till SEPT 2017 as mentioned above. I now want to travel from UK to Europe as a visit, will it be ok to travel with the residence permit alone without applying for a visa again?

Technically, you should have informed your end of work engagement in germany last year. Since you are not a resident in germany for more than a year, I doubt if that residence permit is valid unless your work in UK also involves in germany.

Realistically, However I doubt if the german authorities have revoked the residence permit themselves. In any case, travelling from UK to germany will involve schengen border control and you will be in two situation a) they glance your german permit with minimal questioning and let you through b)they see you haven't been in germany for over a year and will get to know your situation. If i was you, I would not even bother because of the risk benefit ratio.
