Past Earning - Salaried Employee Is Banks statement required

Post by jnasir » Tue Jan 29, 2008 11:21 am

Hi,

Has anyone got approval from HSMP without sending Banks statement?

I have no record of salary in the bank and I want to submit following evidences:

- Wage slips covering the full period claimed
- Income Tax Return (which doesn't cover full period claimed)
- A letter from employer stating income as full period claimed.

will above evidence are sufficient without bank statement?

It should be sufficient. The compulsory evidence shall be:
1. Wage slip AND
2. Income Tax Return P60 to cover the full period claimed.

If not submit further evidence which is:
-Letter from Employer or
- Bank statement.

But if you want to be absolutely safe you should submit, Bank statements or provide a strong reason why you can not. Otherwise they might take the wrong conclusion leading to your rejection.

Remember that Bank statement is one of the concrete evidence come from highly respected institution. It is much more valuable than your employment letter.

I agree with pantaiema. Bank statement shows that the money has credited in to your account. Alternatively you can ask your employer to specify that the money was given in cash ( thats what I presume, if it does not show in bank account ) and clearly stating this in the cover letter for your previous earning section.
