I work for a Ministry in the US that has a separate registered entity under the same name in the UK. The controlling interest is done via the board and is controlled from the US side. The U.K. location is a A level sponsor for Tier 2 Minister of Religion. My boss would like to pay my salary to do work for the US location while I live in the UK. (We have international locations all over the globe and there is work I could do that would be much easier located in that region)
The question is, can I do voluntary work for the U.K. location in exchange for a Tier 2 Minister of Religion Visa using the supernumerary exemption to the Resident Labour Market Test? This would allow me to continue to draw my salary from the US while not requiring a salary from the U.K. location. I want to do voluntary ministry work for the a U.K. office anyhow so this seems like a win win for both locations. Thoughts? My end goal is to live permanently in the U.K. so I am looking for a visa that would provide that outcome. Tier 5 limits you to 24 months.
