name on accounts

Post by aleko76 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 4:18 pm

hi I am on a tier 1 entrepreneur 200k visa and my extension is coming up in DEC 2017.

i have 2 companies,

company 1 is dissolved 100k invested and spent.

company 2 is active and currently trading.

My problem is that with company 1 which is now dissolved is that my name is not mentioned in the notes in the final accounts. However my name appears in the information page, director report, and balance sheet.

I am extremely anxious that they might not accept.

if the above is unacceptable then what can i do to make the money spent count?

is there a solution to this even though the company is dissolved?

Get the accountant to amend the accounts. There is no need to re-submit anything to HMRC

hi simba

thanks for your reply .
my lawyer said not to rely on the investment in company 1 as my name was not in the notes section when submitted to HMRC.
so if i get my accountant to prepare an amended copy (different from HMRC name added) and submit with application. will they then reward the investment?

thanks

The amendments should be done to clarify the name opposite the investment amount. You will not change the figures or liabilities.
