legal aid for asylum seeker

hey there i am writing here for some advises and might here will be someone who knows what to do. I am europian and i have close friend who is asylum seeker.he is here 9 years and he is trying to get his documents sorted but he keep getting refused. and i am trying to help him to get legal aid. But its seems no one couldnt care less. or it might be i am contacting wrong places. so if anyone of you knows where i should go or who i should contact for legal aid with fresh claim?from where i should start?or anyone has any tips how i could help him please leave a coment.i am from manchester. thank you soo much!
