Yes, it's beyond the 12 mile zone, which still part of the UKCS, and you still pay tax for your income,

Did you click on vinny's link? It clearly explains that if more than 12 miles, it does count as absence.

I'm joining offshore by helicopter or by boat, how they will count my days offshore incase their is no stamps on my passport?
