Hello, everyone.
I just started my PHD degree for 3 months but I also got an offer from my dream company, now I want to withdraw from my PHD and switch to T2 visa.
I have found that, according to guidance from home office:
"you have successfully completed and passed a UK recognised bachelor’s or master’s degree; or UK Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Professional Graduate Diploma of Education (PGDE); or you have completed a minimum of 12 months’ study in the UK towards a UK PhD during your last grant of leave or period of continuous leave which includes your last grant of leave;"
My first question: What does that bold "or" mean? I have done a bachelor's degree and master's degree in the UK as well, does that mean I do not have to complete 12 months study towards a PHD and I can switch to T2 now?
My second question: If switch to T2 from T4 based on a PHD, do I have to withdraw from PHD before I submit my application to switch to T2 or I can still do my PHD while waiting for the outcome?
Thank you in advance for your answer!
