Penalty for Travel on Indian Passport before surrender

Hi,

I obtained my British Citizenship by Naturalization approx 1 year back, applied for passport in October 2016 and recently obtained the brand new British Passport.

Since Naturalisation, I have had to use my Indian Passport (with my ILR in the same) to travel between UAE (where I currently work) and UK (where my family resides) for about 7-8 times in last 12 months.

I will like to surrender my Indian passport because now, I do have an alternative passport to travel on. I did not have the option of surrendering Indian Passport in last few months as I was still waiting to get my British passport.

The trick question I have is - for penalty determination and calculation for somewhat of a late surrender of my Indian passport, do they count my UAE-UK travels? I did not travel to India at all for last 5 years or so and have no plans to travel to India either. So, my use of Indian Passport was not intended to save any visa fee etc.

Any advice or guidance is kindly welcome.
