Standard Visa refusal for mother. Not sure how to reapply!

Post by alisa_sonia » Sun Apr 30, 2017 9:26 pm

Hi

I applied for a short stay visa for my mother. She is 70 years old pensioner and living in Pakistan. With the application I included;
Sponsorship letter
My payslips, bank statements
evidenvce of accommodation
From my mother;s side, I submitted:
her employment letters, pension letters
hetr bank statements
land ownership record

One of the things I was mindful of was to provide evidence that she will return to Pakistan at the end of her visit. I am a teacher and would like her to visit during the summer break. All my siblings live in Pakistan, are married and working full time. My mother lives with my older sister and helps with childcare for her two kids. I provided documents detailing their school timing (one goes to school in the morning and the other one goes to school in the afternoon) to provide evidence that my mum intends to go back and continue to help out. I also included letter from all my siblings expressing their attachment with our mum and wanting her to return home after spending the summer holidays with me.

My mom also declared that she collects pension for my dad. Now that pension is collected at the post office and does not come directly to the back which is why the visa got refused.

I am not sure what I should include with the application when I reapply! The only possible things I can thinks of are:
Explain those deposits as dad's pension
provide more evidence of mum's desire to return home (but I am not sure what will work!) Any help with this will be deeply appreciated. I am feeling quite lost right now!

Trying to upload the image of the refusal letter but not sure how that works :/

Many thanks once again!

This is the wording of the refusal letter:

I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paaragraphs(s) V4.2 - V4.10 of Appendix V of the immigration rules because:

* I have recognised the importance of family visits and have carefully considered your application. The onus is on you to qualify for entry clearance based on your own circumstances and your own intentions. You have said that your sponsor will help you with this visit by paying for your maintenance and accommodation whilst you are in the United Kingdom and I am satisfied that she is in a position to do so. But whilst I take that into account in assessing your proposed maintenance and accommodation in the UK, that is only one aspect of the visitor rules and this sponsorship does not satisfy me of your own intentions to leave the UK on completion of your visit.

* You have applied to travel to the UK for 2-3 months to visit your daughter. You state that your whole visit will be financially supported by your daughter. I have taken into accounts the documents that you have provided and that you state that you are retired and receive a pension. The bank statement provided demonstrates your pension however I note that there are additional deposits made to this account which are not sourced and it is unclear as to where they have originated from. I am therefore not satisfied that this bank statement is a true reflection of your circumstances in Pakistan at this time.

* Given all of this I am not satisfied your circumstances are as you have indicated, nor therefore of your intentions in wishing to travel to the UK now. I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a general visitor for a limited period as stated by you, not exceeding 6 months, nor am I satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of the period of the visit as stated by you.

U did few mistake in your application and supporting documents.

First of all they acknowledged that she has pension money coming but u deposit some money which not reflect her financial situation. How much money she deposited in her bank account? do u have proof of origin of that money.

U also need to submit nadra family tree with the application and some family photos can also help.

2 to 3 months r long for visit. u should had mentioned 4 to 6 weeks, which is quite reasonable time for visit.

Many thanks for replying. I can explain those deposits. My mom gets pension for my dad who is deceased and that doesn't go straight to the bank. My brother collects it, puts it in his bank and then transfers the money to my mom's account. As for family tree, I did include one for my family but I am wondering if I can get one for my mother's family and my dad's family to show that my mom has most of her family in Pak and therefore has every reason to go back. I originally thought of putting 2 months as I am off for 7 weeks but then changed it to 2-3 months. How do I explain changing the time in my next application? Thanks again for your help!
