Tier 2 for dependents for one year, IHS fees are for 3 years

I'm applying for a tier 2 general visa for me and for my dependents. The application goes fine. I intend to stay for one year as stated by my certificate of sponsorship.

When I go to pay for IHS for myself, the fees are for one year.
But for dependents, it is 3 years, although I put the start and end date on the applications.

Any idea why this happens, is there a specific selection should I do?

you would have to pay the full fee for 3 years and once the visa is given, the remainder will be refunded.
It generally takes around 30-45 days for the refund to be processed.
