I'm not sure if all of the things I've read about the the application process confused me or if it's just that confusing. So here is my situation, my wife is a British citizen. We were married in the US and I want to apply for a spouse visa to stay there with her. I have a child that is 7 years old that I have full 100% custody and can provide court documents proving that, I was told I need to apply for another visa for her, would that be the same settlement visa that I am applying for and that also comes with the same visa fee? Or would I need a different visa for her? My wife has a disability and I can not recall comepletely what benefits she claims. But she did all of this math showing that she could support us while we are there while I search for a job. Her living accommodations are also adequate. Do I need to have a certain amount of savings in my account as well or would her benefits suffice? It's just a nice amount of money to apply for this and I don't want to mess anything up. I haven't found an exact answer about bringing a child with me under 18 and which visa i would have to apply for with her. I'm aware of biometric scanning and proof of relationship but the biggest concern I have is applying for the correct things and making sure I have everything in order before I apply. Thank you for any assistance and if you have any questions I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my abilities.
