Does my wife has to get police clearance certificate?

Hi,
just one question.
I am in Uk under TIER 2 General
My wife will be joining me soon. Does she requires to get police clearance certificate? She is applying as my dependant from her home country.

But that says 'Where the applicant is applying as a Tier 2 (General) Migrant'.
I am in Tier 2 (SOC code: 2137) and i know my Code does not comes under as mentioned on that link.

It is my wife applying as a dependant from her home country.

Short Answer is "No". But on the safe side just have one.

They are normally required for tier 2 general candidates who work in some fields like education, nhs etc .
It would be better to have one incase your wife wants to work and if the work is in these fields .

If your SOC code does not need police clearnce certificate then your dependent would not need it.
