Tier 2 change of employment

Post by Shah1698 » Fri May 05, 2017 7:36 pm

I am on tier 2 general visa and recently been offered a job by another sponsor (with different SOC code) who has asked this question while they're in process of assigning CoS

It will be very much appreciated if someone help me which sub category they have to select from below.

A. Tier 2 (General - changes of employment - ISC exempt)
B. Tier 2 (General - Extensions - ISC exempt)

My current SOC code 2137
New SOC code 2136

Thanks in adance

They should choose A since you are changing employer.

@shah1698:
I am in a similar situation. I am an electrical engineer (2123). I assume that you are a software engineer (2136).
my CoS says: "Tier 2 (General - changes of employment - ISC exempt)"
Is the new employer exempted from paying ISC - Immigration Skills Charge ("ISC exempt") for us?

ISC exemption generally applies for PhD candidates and graduate trainee roles.

Will this be an issue for my application?
Was your application successful?

Go for A
second option is for those who are not changing their employer and just applying to extend their visa.
