Moving back to UK (P2)

Post by accablues » Sun May 07, 2017 7:15 am

Hi all,

I am linking this post with my original post , unless moderator decide to merge them as one

immigration-for-family-members/moving-b ... l#p1481382

I have few questions re applying spouse visa under saving category from overseas

1. I am remortgaging my property in London and expecting to get approx £80k on equity (not selling and prop in my name) - questions

a. will this £80k qualifies for saving ?
b. If point "a" qualifies as saving - do I have to wait 6 months or can apply straight away
c. the property is currently rented (declared on tax return) and on getting application accepted, planning to move back in to the same prop - will this have any effect on point "a"

2. English compatibility

a. my wife have done MSC in Psychology and submitted relevant paperwork for English comparability, the naric responded that the degree is not as "decorative" as it should be" - I don't understand what they mean by "decorative" !! - any comments on this plesse
b. if they don't accept MSC degree - does that mean I lost £130

3. Savings: I currently have savings in local currency in local gulf bank (more than 6 months) - will that qualify for savings? or it has to be in UK bank accounts?

4. confirming time line for citizenship etc : I am aware previously it was 2 years based on spouse visa and then 1 year ILR before applying for citizenship etc. is current timeline and fee etc shown below correct

1st: Issue of spouse visa - for 33 months - fee £1400 + 600 (IHS) - form VAF4 and VAF4(a)
2nd: extension to cover remaining period - for period 30 months - fee £993 + £500 (IHS)- form FLR(m)
Final : ILR - for period 12 months - fee £2297 + IHS ??- form set(o)

thanks for all the help
