Hello, I am so grateful to have found this website and forum.
I am writing hoping to get some more clarity regarding my chances to have a successful PR application.
My husband and I came to the UK in Apr2012, so 5 years ago. He has been working as a dentist, continuously. Dentists were coming to the UK working as self-employed, so he started working as SE in Apr.2012. Than in Jan2013 an accounting consultant advised he should become director of a Ltd for tax purposes, as SE tax are much higher. I haven't been employed in the UK, I am a stay at home person, and have been included as secretary in his Ltd from Apr.2014. We do not have blue cards.
My questions are:
1. If he is working as an associate dentist but director of a Ltd, would he still be considered as having a SE status? I would say he meets the requirements for 'genuine and effective' work and his earnings come from dentistry work provided through the Ltd.
2. If I am unemployed (and part-time secretary in is company from Ap.2014) would this affect my chances to qualify with him? I have proofs of living in the UK(my name on council tax bill, water bill, bank statements but I only opened a bank account in Apr.2012 when I needed it to be paid the monthly wages)
3. I read lots of guidelines and FAQ documentation prepared by several Universities, in one of those it was mentioned that the copies you submit and the prints of online documents (such as payslips, bank statements) should be signed/stamped by the issuing entity as genuine. Is this really an issue? Because I can't see Barclays being to keen to receive a pack of printed statements from my account for them to sign or stamp.. I didn't see this requirement included in the EEA PR form guidelines, but having read this aspect somewhere else, it just raised more questions for me.
Thank you all taking your time to read through my post and hope I can find someone who can share their opinion or advice.
