You may seek an expedition on compassionate grounds, but no guarantee it will be granted.

I wrote to the HO to expedite action on my application on compassionate grounds. It was granted and we received our biometric cards on the 12th of May and I travel for the burial on the 14th. I'm back in the UK now.

Thanks everyone!
