Tier 2 (General) English

Post by Shweta2486 » Mon May 08, 2017 5:28 pm

Hi all! I need an advice regarding the type of English test. I appeared for the UKVI-AC version since I am going to start Masters in London in September. However, I have got a job offer before September and I would have to get a Tier 2 visa for that. Would the test I took be acceptable for this visa? I hope so because if anything, the passing marks are higher for the academic test than the general, but need to be sure before I apply for my visa. Thanks!

Tier 2 visa within a year of returning from the UK

Post by Shweta2486 » Mon May 08, 2017 5:35 pm

Hi! I was in the UK until July 21, 2016 and would be applying for a Tier 2 visa this month (May 2017). Considering I have been away for less than a year from the UK, would I need to get a TV check again? I'm not sure about it after reading the GOV.uk page which says if a UK resident has been away for less than 2 years, they need not get one. However I am not sure if this is applicable in my case.
Also want to know about the police check and criminal record, I have a DBS certificate from June 2016. Would that be admissible for my visa in May 2017?
