Tier 2 sponsorship query

Post by Alley89 » Tue May 09, 2017 10:10 am

Hi,
Guys could you all give some expert advise.
Got a sponsorship just after completing my masters studies. But the salary provided by employer is for new entrant for the category. Previously after bachelors I have experience of 4 years in the field and then came and did Masters and got the offer. Now do I belong to new entrant category?
Am I exempt from RLMT?
Can I go ahead with my visa processing for Tier 2 with new entrant salary?
Please help. I am desperate.

Welcome to the forum . You only posted just over half an hour ago and you will need to be patient and wait until a member with the knowledge to respond when they are able.

you cant qualify for new entrant salary with 27 years age. The cut off is 26 years.
You will need to be paid at experienced rate if you would like to be sponsored.

Thank for your quick response.I might be wrong but I read in the immigration rules that either 26 or less or somebody who has completed either bachelors/masters in the UK(i.e. Who had a tier4 clearance and passed the degree or masters). I have my course completion certificate for my masters and degree certificate, does that qualify me as a new entrant?

This is what I found
*New Entrants are defined as new applicants to the Tier 2 (General) visa category who are either under 26 years of age, are switching from a Tier 4 visa, or have been hired through a milkround recruitment process.
Does this mean exempt if age under 26 and on tier 4 switching or anybody under 26 one category and anybody switching from Tier4.
I am confused!
Thanks all for your help

as long as u change from student to work directly within the uk, after having completed the degree for which the student visa was issued, you dont need rlmt.
i believe u will need 30k min salary, now that your cos will be issued post march 2017.
all above is IMO.
