Hi,
I applied to extend my spouse visa and the Home Office granted me a 10 year visa based on us now having a child together and saying that I didn't send an employer letter (I did! ).
Trouble now is that I'm running out of ways to ask them to correct this.
My first action was to write (recorded delivery) to the case worker directly to request the decision be reconsidered and explaining why it should be. They did not reply.
We then applied for an administrative review. After 28 days they replied to tell us that we were not eligible for an administrative review.
I just called the home office and they suggested complaining and/or seeking legal advice. I have just filed a complaint.
Would REALLY appreciate any advice (and experience) people have on this subject. I do feel I am wasting my time with the complaint. Do I need to engage with the solicitors and/or start some kind of formal appeal to get it overturned? Just the thought gives me a headache.
I'm very conscious of the need to tread carefully here. We really appreciate being given a visa however it would seem they have just restarted a now much longer clock running.
Thank you so much for you help.
