Question regarding extension.

Post by hina_pirzada » Sat May 13, 2017 8:11 pm

Dear Members I have a quick question regarding my extension application.

One of my employee started 01/01/2016 as per my FPS but on 01/01/2016 It was Sunday and the following Monday was new year bank holiday. So all came to work by 03/01/2016. The employee she is working part time 70 hrs / month. I spoke to the accountant he said this is not an issue because as per her employment contract her date of employment is 01.01.2016. I am wondering is there any issue because I cant change or revised the FPS. Please advise.

Q2 Also I am paying NIC's via business bank account I don't have any record except all payments are showing on business bank statement but I am only sending the selected pages where the funds are showing under my name can u please advise there is any issue?

it is not an issue, the working days in the week is 5, so from Saturday to the next Friday is 7 days, 5 of them is working days, if he started on Sunday (for example), from Sunday to the next Saturday is 7 days, 5 of them is working days....etc
The point is : from starting to leaving it should be at least one year.

Ideally, the joining date is the date of contract sign, not the first day of working. so if your employee joing date is on sunday and he started working on 03 Jan, there is nothing wrong in it.

About your second question, I would suggest to make your gateway id for your Payroll services, you would have access to whole of the payments made to HMRC for PAYE and how much was due on monthly basis.

it would not take long and will add value to your case as well
