Dependant Tier 2 Visa - Opening a business or company in UK

Hi,

I'm on a Tier 2 Dependant Visa and would like to start a company or business in UK. Am I allowed to own a business with this Visa. I would be working for myself and be one the Directors of this company with another partner from overseas, whom does not have the right to remain in UK.

Do I have to inform the Home Office about this. Currently I'm employed and are there any restrictions.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing some advise on this.
