5 year route Extension Uk

Hi i hope ive posted in the correct place i would appreciate anyone could help me my wife visa is ending in January 2018 and needs extending i just like to no before hand of what to do. im currently receiving carers allowance £62 and work part time which i also receive £100 a week i also have savings of 2000 i am confused of what to provide and how to calculate the adequate maintenance any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Does your wife work?

Unless there has been a recent increase, my understanding is that you will need to show you have £144 per week remaining after payment of rent or mortgage and Council tax.

Hi no my wife does not work i own my home

i no that she has to do an a2 english speaking and listening test as the a1 is no longer accepted this year.

What documents would i have to submit for the extension is bank statements showing outgoing and incoming enough or is there extra

Im a bit confused as you say i will need to have 144 after expenses

Ive read on gov website that

Income (a) minus housing costs (b) must be greater or equal to (c) income support

As example shows
A= total income =460 weekly
B= outgoing = 150 weekly

So A minus B= 310

A-B =310 MUST BE GREATER OR EQUAL TO C 260 INCOME SUPPORT

as my wife is not allowed to touch public funds then how can i claim income support as a couple or is that how much i have to come out with after expenses

Also if it is 144 or 113 after expenses as claiming carer allowance u r not allowed to earn more than 110 a week

Could you clarify this for me please
