Visitor Visa application denied - reapplication guidance

Post by absra » Wed May 17, 2017 2:24 pm

Hi All,

My parents have recently been denied a short term visit visa which we had requested for 2 weeks. The main reason provided was that although the income stated per employment letter is xx, 'I note that the bank statement demonstrates multiple additional deposits that do not reflect the additional deposits to your bank account'.

The ECO has further coupled it with the normal 'I don't think your circumstances are as claimed and the usual you will not leave in 2 weeks'.

The above is clearly a mistake by the ECO, which is not a surprise to me after reading the Amman high commission case study examples. I am about to provide clarifications on each of these allegations, specially the additional bank deposits statement - I HAVE RECHECKED THE STATEMENTS AND BELIEVE YOU ME THERE IS ONLY A SINGLE CREDIT PER MONTH, WHICH IS A SALARY TRANSFER TO THE ACCOUNT.

Question - In my reapplication, would mentioning in the cover letter a request for the new application to be raised to an ECM, or be checked by another ECO, be considered derogatory towards the original ECO, since this is a blatant mistake by whoever assessed the application which cannot be backed up with anything I have submitted.

Please can someone advise if it would be better to reapply straight away highlighting the ECO's mistake and requesting for a fair assessment and providing further evidence? Or should I wait for a bit and reapply based on a longer documented history?

Reapply by providing all the information and if you believe the ECO made a mistake then highlight in chronological order and give evidences.
You might want to seek legal advice.
