I am a UK citizen and my girlfriend is a US citizen visiting here in the UK on a passport (no visa as she is a non-visa national, being from the US so she can visit up to 6 months without a visa). She has been over before over the years, and we leave 6 months or more between trips and she never over stays.
We intended this trip to be 3 months (2 months are gone so far), however we were wondering if it would be OK to extend the trip by a couple of months. She has the capacity to change her ticket, but my question is- is this OK, as on her landing card she would have said she wanted to stay 3 months. This was the original intention, however time has just flown by and there's more we want to do. Would this reflect badly on her? We won't bother if it could make her look bad.
If we can't, it's not the end of the world, but hoped for some advice
