Supporting Documents for Spouse/Kids

Post by ggurus » Thu May 18, 2017 6:36 am

Hi,

I've just applied the settlement application for my wife and 2 kids. Biometric appointment is on 1st of June.
Can I send all my supporting documents before the biometric or wait for the biometric to be taken?
Do I need to send separate supporting documents for my kids in separate envelope or place it in the same envelope along with my wife's document?

This is just an information. I've applied as priority visa.

Thanks,
Guru.

Hi Guru,

I would have thought that if you had 1 GWF number for the application you would send everythig in one pack. I just applied simply for my wife but I noted on the application that you could also apply for kids if required.

The email I received from UKV&I stated the following appendices to any application - Original text copied

*List of Appendices:
Appendix 1 - Children / Other Dependants
Appendix 2 - Spouse / Partner
Appendix 4 - Pre-flight family members of Refugees
Appendix 5 - Access Rights to Child

I guess that answers your question.

As to when to send the documents, any time after you have submitted the application and paid the fee.
This is time limited in crtain jurisdictions, can be 10 working days after biometrics.

Good luck
Simon

Thanks for the answers SimonS.

I've contacted the UKVI helpline number to clarify these doubts.

They have asked to send the supporting documents after the biometrics have taken.

And yes I have place the kids application/supporting documents in one single envelope.
