IRL maintenance funds

Hi All,

When I will apply for an IRL my wife and child will apply too as they are currently my dependands under my Tier 2 General visa.

2 questions please:

1) Does my wife also need to show her bank statements or my statements will be enough to cover all of us?
2) What is the minimum amount of money we need to show in our bank statements?

The problem is that I am paying all the rent, food, etc and my wife is covering other expenses, like buying clothes, paying for our child's nursery, etc. So I almost don't put any savings into my account, all savings are in her account from her remaining salary, but we can, obviusly, share them across our accounts or put all the money into my one for the ILR if that is ok. Thanks!

Thanks, are you sure? The gov.uk site clearly says you need to proof that you can maintain yourself and dependands.

The application form also says that you need to provide bank statements.

There is no specific maintenance fund, however you must show that you can somehow maintain yourself in the UK.
You need to send evidence of your income/finances as declared on the form.

YOU need to provide evidence for whatever you claim on the SET(O) form, under finances section.

In this case I will put all our savings to my account instead and will show my own bank statements for all of us.
