I came to the UK in May 2007....however I spent 6 months and one week exactly outside the UK visiting my family. in Africa. I am currently working and would like to know if I can apply for the ILR given the 6 months rule outside UK....plus I have stayed a week more beyond the 6 months. Thanks for your advice.

If you are attempting to apply for an ILR based on 10 year Long Residence, you have broken continuity of stay
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
