Any advice for bringing a non-EU relative to France?

Post by emmetyak » Fri May 19, 2017 2:16 pm

Apologies for how specific this is!
I am a UK citizen living in France with my Estonian wife.
My wife's mother is Russian and needs a visa to come and live with us.
The problem is that I have just become self-employed after a long period of being paid 'cash-in-hand' so I have no proof of income yet.
I can prove I live here as the EDF is in my name, but my wife can't.
Any idea how I would go about getting my mother in law here?

Hi, Unless you can prove dependency (financial, health/physically) on you or your spouse in the country of origin (Russia) before or on the application date, there isn't any other way to bring in mother in laws.
