long term standard visa for parents

Post by harry2511 » Sat May 20, 2017 11:16 am

Hello all. First of all sorry if it is not right form for this question.
I am looking to apply for long term visa ideally 10 year for my parents. I am british citizen now and my parents has visited me 5 times since 2008 on standard 6 months visa. Generally their stay is around 4 weeks and maximum they stayed here in uk is 8 weeks on one occasion. My parents are retired and have property and investment in india. Should I include this information in cover letter? If yes, do I need to include any documents with application to prove this?

After reading previous post on-line which recommends they should apply 2 years first, then 5 and 10 years visa. I am now confused if I should apply for 10 years or is this going to be waste of money if home office gives only 6 months or 2 years visa in response.

Any advice on this???

Also, what should I include in cover letter or additional information section. If anyone has any template they have used in past will be great.

Thanks in advance

I suggest that you apply for the 2 year visa first.
