Indian living in UK on a Tier 2 DepVisa applying for Germany

Hi,

I am living in UK on a Tier 2 Dependent Visa along with my partner who is on a Tier 2 General Visa.

I have been offered a job in Germany and they are ready to sponsor my work visa.

Now my question is that Can I apply for this German Visa from UK itself or do I have to go to India to apply for it. I would like to apply German Visa for my partner as well.

Please help me understand what should I do

You can apply from a country where you are legally resident = not a visitor.

Applying from UK when on Tier 2/Tier 2 Dependent visa is fine.

The German Embassy website explains the process in detail.
